Here is a copy of the March, 1969 (Vol. 2, No. 3), edition of Old Bottle Magazine. Condition is complete with some fading, edge tear on the cover, and some dirt/staining. Frances Terrill wrote the insulators column, excerpts of which are shown. New finds included a CD 202 K, a threadless Fulton St. CREB, and what appears to be a CD 156.1 base-embossed American product, among others. In the article, she comments on the lack of space allotted for insulators and the need to initiate a new magazine dedicated to insulators. She also comments on the new reference to insulator collectors as "Polecats" which she says was coined by one Betty Mohne of Boise. Warren Olsen also submitted an article about insulator embossing errors, and his then-current summary chart is also shown. I think that chart would be a little longer today. 8^D Anyone want this for $10 shipped? |
