Well just got back from another National and another On The Road Again Show # 7! Nice comfortable 3 hour flight to Kansas City, MO and back to Seattle. Though I did not stay at the show hotel I was only 8 minutes from the show hall by hotel shuttle. Though I did not spend a lot of time during the social time in the hotel lobby it probably helped with the two hour change that did effect me in the long run. I didn't bring very many sale insulators because I brought my tie wire insulators collection to display. I did auction them off donating half to the National hosts to offset the cost of the show. The show was run very well by our hosts Darryl and Margaret Wagner, there was lots of activities to organize and for the collectors attending. On Friday I was to busy walking around and checking out all the sale tables picking up some nice pieces for my collections so I did not have many sales. Saturday was different  since I spent more at the table that Don Briel let me have some space on. Sales were brisk and was able to talk with many collectors that dropped by. I want to thank Tom K. for bringing me a nice surprise CD 106.2 flat top style Mexican insulator. I was also able to get another one from Sean Green (nice kid) and his dad Mike ( nice guy). I got a nice yellow Victor cup to go with my yellow Victor bowl, a nice Victor shaving mug which I have never seen before, and a pretty nice purple Mexican unembossed CD 162.7 from my good buddy Texas Chris. I also picked up some nice strains (oh no am I beginning to collect them again)? It was very nice seeing and catching up with John and Carol McDougald. Also my good buddy Nathan Holmes for bringing  and giving me a copy of Howard and Linda Banks' 1st copy of Crown Jewels (January2003) so that I could take it around and have it signed by collectors at the show to honor their contribution to the hobby for being editors of a great and important part of our hobby. This has probably gone on to long so in closing it was a great show thanks again and Darryl and Margaret, it was great seeing all my friends Dwayne, Rohde, Jack Roach and all my good buddies from my great home state Texas!!!!!!, Bill and Jill, ......... and so many to mention! gil better known as bluemex
