Up for grabs is a nifty tie-wired piece for the discerning tie wire collector. This Hemingray No. 40 CD 152 in the [040] EIN has an early iron tie wire, with a twisted length of standard telegraph wire wrapped around it. The copper tie does not appear to be a conventional "tie wire" so I suspect it may have been used to simply fortify the iron tie wire sometime after its original installation. This piece was dug up by yours truly around 2001 or so - one of the first times I ever went for a dig. Memories!

The insulator itself, while not the item of interest, is in good shape apart from 2 partially nicked drips, and a slightly whitened "clamshell" bruise on the rear wire groove that is approximately 1" squared.

I'm asking $10.00 US plus shipping for this piece. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items.
