There is an old 69kv line that crossed under the ROW we hunted and ran sideways up the hill. We were halfway back to our cars and running out of daylight, so we decided to leave our finds and take the steep climb to the tower. This line has been out of service since around 2000 and was falling apart. Some of the wires and insulators were missing. That might be a good sign.
