The Ohio at Covington, KY has receded very slowly and unfortunately the banks are covered with a layer of silt with debris and trash on top of that. The area is unrecognizable from what I have searched before. Only a few things were exposed. The footing was treacherous. Mud was like quicksand. Trees and huge branches washed up and stayed behind as the river finally went back into its banks. Not a good environment for hunting shards. Strange as it sounds we need a good rain to rinse off the shoreline.
