Recently got in contact with an "ex-collector" who had this piece boxed away for many many years. It is by far one of the rarest insulators I own and is one heck of a piece. Apparently, this was one of the first Chester 158.1's that came into the hobby back in the 1950's and I am told by the previous owner that it was even featured on a magazine cover! It isn't pretty, but it exists and is a fantastic candidate for a professional repair... Definitely a cornerstone piece for me! If a Boston CD 158.9 popped up though, this Chester would for sure be on the table to change hands.... Enjoy!!
