Probably one of the prettiest wineries you can visit in the California Wine Country is Chateau St. Jean in Kenwood, CA. When I was growing up, this winery was considered one of the first premium wine producers from California that I enjoyed immensely. Years later, as this winery history board depicts, the winery was founded by the Merzoian Family of wine making and insulator collecting fame.

The Merzoians don't own the winery anymore. It was purchased by a large Australian agribusiness.
