Pearl Street steam generating plant in 1901 with a two-phase alternating current, 60 cycle 2,400-volt 1,900 kilowatt Westinghouse-Parsons nicknamed "Mary-Ann" known to be the first steam turbine by a public utility to produce electricity in America.
