A few nice lookers at the bottom of my otherwise pony case. Top row includes a flashed amber Hemi 252 (see also [id=2104650], a snotty green and aqua Manhattan, and what's very close to a delft blue McLaughlin 252. Up close and personal, the McLaughlin actually has tiny purple swirls in its steely blue ears. The four beehives on the middle shelf represent the sum total of all the beehives in my collection. The amber-swirled Brookfield 149 came from a junk store years before I realized how special it was. A close-up of this guy can also be seen at [id=2104557]. Frenchies and other foreigners line the bottom shelf. Ironically, the gingerbread boy is one of the few insulators I've actually collected in the wild. It came from a roadside stockpile in the French Pyrenees on a (newlywed) hitchhiking tour way back in 1972. |
