You can see from this picture the tiny wire groove and the very odd (to me, anyway) pins that the pieces were attached to. They are just two flanged pieces of metal, essentially, and I'm not sure if the insulators were screwed on or cemented to the pin. Here is the first picture of the pole [id=504922245].
