My husband bought 2 interesting DC meters at an auction we attended. They were made by the Whitney Electrical Instrument Company, which was in existence from 1893 to 1909. They appear to be in their original cases, the serial numbers on them are sequential, and the auctioneer said they were from a coal mine. This is the volt meter.
