Here are three pictures of an insulator found in an insulator burial pit along the former PRR mainline in S.E. PA. The pit was uncovered when the man who bought the property from the RR was doing some bulldozer work. As you can see from the pictures, the dozer tracks were not too gentle on the insulator. There were also dated CD 126 & 145 Brookfields in the pit. The color of the glass makes me think BROOKFIELD. The first photo shows a groove which is 90 degrees to the mould line. The third photo show the bottom view. There is a 10 embossed in the bottom of the "Pin hole" The "Pinhole" is 7/8" dia., outside dia. is 1-11/16". It is 2-3/8" at the widest part, overall length is 3" Any ideas? The PRR mainline is or was electrified.
