Placard reads: "This cross arm and pole were used with hundreds of others at Trinity Site to carry miles of wire from instrumentation sites, base camp, control bunkers and ground zero. In addition to stringing wire on short poles, the project personnel enclosed ground wires in rubber hoses in an attempt to keep them dry during thunderstorms." Maybe the hoses came from the Sears catalog? Great museum with an outdoor missile "boneyard" and a dedicated V-2 missile display if you are ever in southern New Mexico.
