On a road trip I stopped at an antique mall in central Washington. Most of the insulators there were common, but on a windowsill, there was a group of some common insulators, some Hemingray 40s with numbers on the domes, and this CD 147 in "dark yellow green". It is sort of sandblasted or something, and there are two chips, but I would say it was a fairly good find for $5. It appears to have a flake of metal in the wire groove, but unfortunately the chip exposes it as well as took part of it off. I also got a CD 145 No Name H.G.Co. H on the dome and vertical bars on the skirt in light green for the same price. That one has the same sandblasted appearance as the CD 147. This is my first post, but I hope to have more posts in the future. -Travis Tuttle |
