With winter continuing to dump snow over Washington state today I spent a good share of my afternoon looking through some of my archived insulator related materials and books where I came across this 1948 edition of McKee and McCowen's elementary school workbook entitled "Practice for Improving Language." On the cover, we see two telephone linemen one on the pole and the other on the passenger side of the truck. It appears that they have been called out in a snowstorm to make repairs to a subscribers line. OR, it was a good opportunity to add some insulators to their collections. I'm not quite sure what CD number the artist tried to duplicate for this cover but I will give him an "A."
