Took this while hunting on the CN tracks. They recently built these enormous transmission pylons (featuring aqua glass Sediver suspensions) along these tracks. They connect a substation in Bartlett to what I'm assuming is the Byron Nuclear Power Plant. Not sure on that, so don't quote me. Anyway, couldn't help but document these old telegraph poles and how they measure up to modern power transmission. I mean really, how often do you see a sight like this???
