I recently was fortunate enough to snag a very rare piece that has been on my 'want list' for years now: A glowing yellow/orange amber Hemingray 20, i.e., CD 164. Several collectors doubted the authenticity of the color, primarily due to the initial photos the auctioneer posted on eBay - they were many years old, out of focus and dark. I wrote to the seller asking him to take and post some newer photos. He did so, but still used poor photo techniques and so there was still some lingering doubts. I took a chance and went for it, and won. I was surprised, but a bit anxious. Until I had the piece in hand I was not sure if it was real or not. It came 3 days later and to put it simply, is magnificent. I cannot pin-point the exact color designation. It is somewhere between 'honey amber' and 'glowing orange amber'. This and some subsequent photos may help some of you to help *me* in coming up with the appropriate color. Thanks and enjoy!
