After years of looking through hundreds of boxes of thousands of clear CD 128's, holding each one up to the light hoping that perhaps someone let an opalescent slip by, I finally came across this EIN [010] (F-Skirt) HEMINGRAY_CS/[Owens Illinois logo] (R-Skirt) E_14B SB in an architectural salvage warehouse in the back of a cabinet loaded with Ball canning jars and a few bottles. Checking to see if any were Codd bottles, there in the shadows in the back was what looked to be yet another clear, albeit dirty, CD 128. Well, I was more than a little surprised to pull this pearly gem out from the dark. It's got some damage and typical staining, but the Dark Opalescent color is gorgeous!
