from the 1950ies with mercury switch and air regulated timer. These are still running in a lot of houses in Germany. But they are now over 60 years old and the pneumatic time assembly wears out so the light goes out more and more quickly. The mercury switch is nearly made for eternity but today, you have a problem to get rid of these.
