Transcontinental telephone line at Donner Lake

A picture showing the beautiful area this line traverses through. Below is Donner lake. The Transcontinental telephone (remnants in this picture), Central Pacific, and Postal lines all descended the solid granite mountain to the valley below. Nothing but tiny pieces of insulators are scattered all over this steep mountainside in the present day. I'd imagine there were quite a few great finds to be made here years ago by the very first insulator collectors to hunt this area.
