This is the last group of insulators I was able to salvage from the rails beside my house. The poles I have gazed at, picked from and watched the glass sparkle on for the past 23 years have gone the way of the western frontier and faded into history. Apparently they were taken down in the past 2 days because last Friday they were still standing and now they are G-O-N-E. Miles of poles and glass just gone and so quickly!

Take the time to show your kids what glass sparkling on the pole tops looks like while you still can. Rapidly, what's left of a bygone era is being dismantled and sent to the dumps never to be seen again.
