Here is another tough threadless to find. This one was dug in Louisiana many years ago. It is the (020) Tillotson & Co which is embossed on the Crown and has 16 Broadway/NY on the skirt. The NY is very strong embossed and the rest is very very light and hard to read but you can see it. It has haze from being buried for so long and has never been tumbled. I never did understand how the NY embossing could be so strong and readable and the rest so light and hard to see. I watched it being dug up and it came out of the ground like this. I think a good tumble would make it shine but not sure it would help the embossing or not. It is a light Aqua in color with a nice amber swirl in the dome. The only damage is a chip in the wire groove. The base is pretty perfect and only other thing I can see are some internal annealing cracks in the skirt but nothing major at all. This one has been in my collection since it was dug up and I am offering it for $700 delivered to your door. PayPal no fee is the preferred method of payment. FINAL REDUCTION - $400 delivered.
