Got a call from my ad on Thursday. The woman said she had 6 "3-tier" porcelain pieces from Maine.... I was hoping for older 3 part multiparts but they ended up being fairly common 2-part pieces. It is tough to convince people that pieces this big aren't worth a lot of money. Decided to buy them anyway and try to find them homes where they will be appreciated. Not sure of the U-numbers on these. I think maybe M-2751 for the one on the left, but the 2 on the right have more of a profile of an M-2661 but they have an extra groove under the top skirt and I don't think the 2661 does. Glazes on these three are very attractive mottled glazes. The one on the left is a mottled mahogany top with a black/gray bottom. The 2 on the right have black tops, with the one on the far right being matched with a warm brown bottom. These two are very interesting looking pieces. The other three she had are Locke and O-B [id=476311244]. |
