I walked a hill top area of an old 1907 line from Waipori Dam to Dunedin City to recce the area for a future trip for Rob and I. The line stretches for 27 miles from the Power House to Dunedin with the first section coming down the slopes to the Taieri Plains. This downed pole was one of a few I saw on that hillside and probably dates to the 1920's. I'm picking these will still be there when Rob and get back there in warmer weather.
