I did a recent 4000km round trip to the bottom of the South Island of New Zealand to purchase an Insulator collection. On my return journey North, I spent time in Dunedin and took these pictures of some insulators still in the air. Sun was out and they glowed. While this first pic is not 'a glow' so to speak, it does show a set of 'Bullers' of England, small cable tops alongside 2 at top right which were made by our 'NZI' here in Temuka. The impressed Bullers stamp can be see on some, dating these to early 1930's. |
