I recently received an inquiry from a collector who had purchased a Telephone Pioneers Human Service Commemorate. It has the correct embossing on the insulator. The insulator he purchased had a gold leaf treatment. He soaked the gold leaf off the insulator and found the base glass and ENTIRELY different color of glass from any of the known glass colors for this piece.

First question: Has anyone purchased a gold leaf Human Service Commemorative? Second question: The owner realizes he may have devalued the piece by removing the gold leaf? Has anyone ever seen one of these pieces in this color of glass?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated by the collector and Don Briel to authenticate this piece. Thank you
