Glaze test sample from the Victor factory ...I picked this up on my last trip along with a few other random not very interesting Fred Locke related things on a brief visit to Victor, N.Y. a few weeks ago . It is the middle skirt to some perhaps unreported glaze-weld they were making . The outer surface is unglazed wile the inside is glazed with a slightly yellowish translucent clear glaze . A number of these have surfaced both in digs at the plant and the old trash dump near Fred's house all with different colours and numbers scratched into them . The number likely reverenced some long ago lost glaze formula reference log book the factory and /or Fred Locke himself used . |
