A bit later on, I heard glass again and found a piece of the skirt from the 740.7 from the week before. I should have waited to take the photo, because I got another 2 pokes with the fork later. But when I went to photograph it, my memory card was full.

There was still at least one more skirt piece that I needed to find, so I kept probing. I was down an 8-10 foot bank so below the level of the rail bed. After probing a while longer I turned around and was surprised to see a gentleman standing above me staring down at me. And he was holding a small hay fork in his hand! We stared at each other for a few seconds, then he said 'I know what you're doing'. I think I answered something like 'probably the same thing you are'. After that we teamed up. He continued to probe at my spot while I went back to the car to get my lunch, then later we went looking for more pole sites but there were no more finds for the day.
