Marked PATENTED/ JUNE 7 1890 / APR-9 1904 this very early New Lexington piece Jeffrey Kramer and I just found was used on the Bulls Bridge line from the Bulls Bridge powerhouse to Woodbury and New Britton, Ct. The line went through several changes of insulator designs in rapid succession until being abandoned sometime in the early mid 1920's These insulators likely did not see service after about 1910 . The piece is interesting in that it has a mold line visible over the crown and is one of only two known non Fred Locke multiparts with this feature . the other is the New Lexington M-4325a used on the Borel Transmission line in Southern California .
