Up for sale is a great-looking pair of Canadian Porcelain cable tops. I'm not entirely certain that this particular style actually has a U-# currently, though the closest I can see would be U-2461. These are virtually identical to U-513, but made by Canadian Porcelain so they're technically "foreign". These are sometimes found in urban centres across Canada along trolley lines or low-voltage distribution lines. The white example here came from the Hamilton, ON area, while the brown example came from somewhere in northern Ontario (I'm not certain where). The white example has some pinkish-coloured tips on its ears but is otherwise uniform in colour, while the brown example is blotchy and mottled with various shades of brown. Both examples are NM. I can't see anything wrong with the white example, and the brown one has a very small base flake on the firing rest on the bottom of the inner skirt. The brown example appears to have been buried for some time, as it has some sort of "mineral damage" on its surface. Asking $15.00 US plus shipping for the pair. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
