This was found on the rout of the Scioto Vallie interurban Railway just north of Chilicothy, Ohio a few days ago ... The entire line was insulated with M-2332's when build in 1903-04. I walked many miles of the line... some alone and Some with Bob Harding over a number of years and came up with very little ... in fact the line was so well cleaned up I had almost given up on it until Bob and I stumbled on to this piece out of the blue ... This is maybe only the 3rd or fourth whole mint undamaged Fred Locke multipart I have ever found in the wild. I have always loved this stile allot and finally finding one just sitting there in the dirt was one of those moments I will remember for life! I have family I was visiting in the Cincinnati area so I thought why not take one last stab at the line... well it paid off! the piece is dead mint ... how it survived nearly nine decades in the dirt like this I will never know ... but it did ... ! |
