Up for sale is a great-looking pair of Canadian CD 145s with a little more character than normal. The example at left is a [010] G.N.W. TEL. CO. CD 145 in the "thin print" embossing. This one was picked east of London, ON some 12-13 years ago by yours truly, and has some great looping amber swirls that run throughout the insulator, with some especially nice swirls in the right side and rear half. One nice stripe runs over top of the pinhole. This example is VNM, save for a 1/2" annealing crack that runs up from the base edge right beneath the "G". The example at right is a [080] G.T.P. TEL. CO. CD 145, made in the same mould, but with large, blocky "T.P." letters having been engraved overtop of where the "N.W." used to be. I've always loved this mould, as it just looks funny with the contrast of boldness between the two embossing types. This one also has some light amber swirling throughout the front and right side of the piece. Unfortunately, it also has a thumbnail-sized inner skirt chip in the front half. I'm asking $35.00 US plus shipping for the pair, or $28.00 plus shipping for the G.N.W. and $12.00 plus shipping for the G.T.P. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
