Old picture of a meter in use

NEVER thought I'd see a picture of this model in use - this is a Sangamo Gutmann A (in terms of rarity today, it's comparable to the Buzby or the Twin Pin with a similar number of confirmed survivors).

The Gutmann A was produced from 1899 to 1901, before it was superseded by the Gutmann B, both of which were forced off the market through legal action by Westinghouse and General Electric in 1903.

Sangamo stuck to DC meters until the Tesla patents expired in the 1910s and they resumed production of induction-type meters with the Type H meter.
