Insulator at Whalers Bay, Antarctica

I was so surprised to see this insulator. It is on one of the last buildings left of this former whaling town. It use to be pretty big town but then the whaling industry ended, and in the 1970's a volcano/earthquake sent a huge wave over the town and destroyed a lot of it and now most of the town is under water. This insulator must be pretty lucky to have survived. The insulator looks to be of a British style.
