This insulator has a lot going for it. First it was used as a chair leg insulator, this was mostly at a telegraph office so the operator wouldn't get shocked. Second the wrong base plate was used when making this insulator. I was told it was the CD 124.1-.3. The base looks like a continuous drip. The insulator has had a rough life, a flat thin chip from the base to the word "Patent" on the back, another thin flat chip on the front as seen in the photo. Around the base there is roughness and over all the insulator a little hazing. The haze I think is from use, not from being buried. I collect CD 125's insulators and this is a tough one to find, I only know of 3 with this base plate error. I can send more photos if needed, I added a picture of the base. Was asking $130, now only $95 plus shipping.
