This insulator [id=295051712]has been a mystery for years since the first and only example was dug in a dump across the street from the site of Fred Locke's house in Victor, N.Y.. Until now no catalog listings or other references to the design have surfaced nor were it's use or catalog number known . Apparently it was cataloged for only one year (1903) as cat #31 It was not shown in the 1902 or catalog #8 that was issued in December of 1904 . It is unknown if any were ever sold or used in actual service .(Catalog image courtesy of Elton Gish )
