Last friday my sister was out of town and state on a family emergency. Had to go up to Albany to pick my daughter up from school so having a little time to spare I stopped at the auction house with my sister manages. If you recall she had found me a box of Australian insulators along with a white Boch porcelian insulator just over a month or so ago. Anyhow on friday's stop her business partner was there. He told me where he and sister found those insulator I just mentioned. Turned out I knew the person that they were obtained from before and exactly where the new antique shop was that he recently opened. I knew where that was prior however I was putting off going until I was out that way for other reasons. Couldn't have a better reason to go now being this wasn't the first time I heard there were more insulators where the first batch came from. So off the the races I was. After picking up my daughter that is. Now here is where the stiry gets interesting. No sooner then I arrived at the antique shop I spotted the owner unloading some old wood off a pickup truck. Asked him if he was using it for firewood or something after we made our friendly greetings. His answer was "Something". He went on to explain that only an hour or two ago the store caught on fire and he was parching up the wall between then pellet stove and chimney where no more wall actually. So if he hadn't been in his shop when all excitement started these nine CD 430's and one CD 422 would have been under cinders. This pic is dark so I will be adding others when the light was better. Enjoy! |
