Offered for sale today, a near mint yellow olive amber EC&M Co. S.F. CD 123 insulator -- a "B" mold. Nice swirl start at the base, nice bubble in front, heavy mold lines and thick button on the rear skirt, nice fingerprint swirling on the glass surface as well. I would say it probably leans a little more amber than olive and it is see-through enough for excellent backlighted display. The delicate, sharp, beveled base has the usual roughness with a couple shallow flakes -- one 1 1/2 inches in length, the other less than an inch -- well known to have been a part of the mold removal process, and sounds much worse than it is. Were it not for the rough base, this piece would be VVNM. In my second photo, I've included a base shot so you can see for yourself. Over the years as these have gotten swallowed up into collections, fewer and fewer of them will be offered, and often when they are, it will be in auctions where you'll be competing for them and you know what that means.
