If only all the poles looked like this! I took down the display after this picture to let the pole top air out - it smelled too stongly of creosote from the fresh cut and was very wet from the recent rains. I'm also putting a coat of clear polyeurethane on the back to keep the smell in and keep it from staining the wall.

Also, I still need 10 wooden pins to finish the display, 1" standard thread and 1 1/4" or 1 1/8" shanks if anyone had some they'd like to part with ;-)
