Up for sale today is a decidedly funky-looking B CD 145 with a lot going on! This one is the [040] EI with just a B on the front skirt. Its colour is a nice medium Brookie aqua, and there are a number of broad amber swathes throughout the right side of the dome and the left side of the skirt when displayed from the front, giving the piece a sort of "checkerboard two-tone" effect. The best part, however, is the presence of a 1/4" by 1/2" "drip" of glass that protrudes from between the inner and outer skirts on the right-side of the rear skirt. It looks like something (perhaps the mandrel) snagged the glass and pulled it out from between the skirts while the insulator was still molten. The inner skirt adjacent to this "icicle" is pushed almost flat, too, so that it just barely evades covering the opening of the pinhole.

The condition of this one is good overall, but it does have a couple problems. There is a 1/8" white scrape on the front crown above the "B", a 7/8" flat base flake just to the left of the 'B', a 3/8" flat base flake on the rear left base edge, and a 1/4" flat base flake on the rear right base edge. You can see some of these flakes in the photos. All-in-all, the piece looks good. The damage doesn't detract too much from the wonkiness of the inner skirt.
