Up for sale this evening is a slightly slumpy double-date PATENT - DEC 19 1871 CD 134. This one is the [050] embossing style with sharp drip points. This style turns up from time to time in S.W. Ontario and I have recently found a few in small collections. This one originated from an unknown area as it was part of a collection rounded up across various parts of Ontario by another collector. Its colour is a medium to light aqua. As you can see in the far right image, this one is a little bit slumpy. The condition of this one is good, but it's not mint either. There are five partially nicked drips, one of those with no glass missing. There is a 1/4" flake that affects two drips to the left of MAY. There is a 3/8" flake where the mould line to the left of MAY 2 1893 meets the upper wire ridge, as well as a 1/8" flake just to the right and above '1893'. There is a 3/8" flake above "DEC" on the opposite side, and a light, shallow 1/4" bruise about one inch to the right of it. Considering the damage, I'm asking $9.00 US plus shipping for this one. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
