I picked this piece up in a collection here in S.W. Ontario earlier this year and thought it was a bit out of the ordinary. We find these PAT CD 134s with SDP from time to time here in S.W. Ontario as it seems some smaller, municipal telephone companies used them in limited quantities. Hemingray blue and aqua examples are known to turn up - always SDP and definitely few and far between.

The photo doesn't show it well, but this example is a very vibrant, crisp ice blue. It seems to be the [020] embossing as there is a triangular shape embossed on the dome top that resembles an 'A', but it's difficult to tell for sure as a number of straw marks cut across it. Seemingly this colour is pretty characteristic of some early Hemingray production. I've seen the same colour in 106s, 162s and some other early PATENT stuff but am yet to see a CD 134 in this shade. It's not listed in the guide and I'm beginning to wonder why this one doesn't seem to be a more common colour.

Does anyone else have one of these? I'm curious as to how many of these are out there.
