Alley arm telephone circuits upon three crossarms are seen that served subscribers in this New York State community. Making a "tunnel" or passageway would be an easy thing here in Southeast MA to do if you wanted to do some digging. Some historically extremely cold and snowy winters have battered this vicinity since 1993. Snow piles easily eight feet high lined streets here in the Boston area last season (9 feet snowfall total between late January and mid-March) with the possibility of making tunnels like this one a cinch...if you had enough energy to do any further shovelling after making your way out your front door....
