Electric lighting circuits for local customers were strung along the poles on the left. On the right is an open wire subscriber lead with alley-arm and standard 10-pin construction...and a couple sidepins upon it along the route to boot ;-).

Also note the neat Shell gas station sign in the distance, also on the right.
