The farmer said the Multis were on the line that ran through his property and he gathered them up during a line upgrade. The line was from Lake Coleridge to the Hororata Substation and subsequently to Christchurch City. This was the first major Hydro Electric scheme in NZ. The Multis we got included Ohio Brass, Canadian Porcelain and 'No Name' examples. This pic shows a mishap at the 'ford' nearby where the Landrover came to grief. The back round poles show what I'm pretty sure are large 'CP's'.
