In advance of a future dig, I found this guy still standing in Forestville along the old Hartford, Providence & Fishkill. Strange to see side pins on a "modern" pole.

Much too hot today to go beyond a superficial scratch 'n sniff...which yielded numerous shards. The dry creek bed below the pole is choked with roots and will require a pick axe and cooler temperatures.
