Kent, CT c.1908 Rather New 10-Pin Phone Openwire Pole

I comment "rather new" owing to the fact that newer poles back around when this image was taken were oiled or creosoted giving them a dark or black appearance as we see. In addition 10-pin crossarms for phone openwire for subscriber leads (as this one appears to support) were somewhat recent on the scene. In addition the lighter-colored (pine?) crossarm and its steel braces had not weathered much at the time of this photo.
