This line probably was for telephone comms in this Vermont village. Those of you from New England who collected insulators back in the 1970s and 1980s likely recall the late Edna MacDonald. She resided in Woodstock for many years; found many rare and treasured insulators and is a very fondly remembered supporter and member of the Yankee Pole Cat Insulator Club. She hardly missed any of our shows and indeed was a pleasure to know and chat with.
