This community always has been very popular as a Cape Cod vacation spot with its ambiance and beautiful beaches with soft sand; facing the crisp blue Atlantic Ocean. The electric utility serving this town (as well as the rest of the Cape) when this photo was taken was the Cape and Vineyard Electric Company. CD 234 and CD 235 clear Pyrex insulators were used here and there upon their secondary and 4kv primary lines. A few of these glass insulators are still in service where upgrading has not taken place. They surely look nice on a clear day with a blue sky background ;-)
