A Hemingray Double Petticoat, CD 145 [030] draped in a beautiful carbon ribbon. A very rare piece of junky glass seeing as how Hemingray was known for its quality.

I recently purchased an insulator collection that was put together by the late Ralph Phillips and his daughter Mardee. Evidently, Ralph was a lumberjack by trade in the Colorado and Wyoming area, so collecting insulator came natural to him. He had a dozen or so junky pieces, big bubbles, odd shapes and nice colors. This carbon piece is one of the more spectacular junky insulators from the collection.
